East Ridge High School senior Hanting Guo has been selected as a candidate in the United States Presidential Scholars Program, established to recognize and honor some of our nation's most distinguished graduating seniors.

Woodbury High School senior Amrita Mohanty has been selected as one of four recipients of this year’s Neuroscience Research Prize presented by the American Academy of Neurology and the Child Neurology Society.

This is the second consecutive year that all three District 833 high school productions advanced out of the subsection competition to compete in the Section 3AA Finals. The competition will be held Wednesday, Feb. 4 at Park High School.

On Jan. 28, the Woodbury Area Chamber of Commerce’s Business Education Partnership Committee in collaboration with The Woodbury Community Foundation and District 833 presented a career workshop to East Ridge High School students.

Three teams representing South Washington County Schools achieved Highest Honors in the recent WordMasters Challenge, a national vocabulary competition involving nearly 150,000 students annually.

Congratulations as well to the district’s Math League participants on a great season.

Draft 2015-16 and 2016-17 District 833 calendars will be presented to the School Board on Thursday, Feb. 5. Drafts of the calendars and a summary of important dates are available below.

The Academics, Arts, and Athletics (Triple A) Award is sponsored by the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL).

The Minnesota Scholastic Art Awards (MSAA) are open to all Minnesota students in grades 7 through 12, with awards also at the national level.
