The District 833 School Board has approved a random-sample survey of its constituents through the Morris-Leatherman Company, a firm that provides market research and interpretation.

In the video below, seven seniors from South Washington County Schools share their stories of determination and success as they prepare to graduate from District 833.

Park High School students had the opportunity on May 27 to launch a canoe that they built in their classroom. Urban Boatbuilders, a non-profit youth development organization in St. Paul, assisted Park students as they built a canoe over the course of the spring trimester.

The Woodbury High School Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) unit hosted the Royal Challenge on May 18, with three other local AFJROTC units participating.

Thirty-five graduates from District 833’s Class of 2015 have earned Summa Cum Laude with Distinction honors by earning a cumulative GPA of 4.3 or higher.

The following seniors from South Washington County Schools’ Class of 2015 represent a small sample of the success stories from this year’s graduates. Congratulations to the Class of 2015!

The School Board met on Thursday, May 21, with the following items on the agenda:

Effective July 1, Tina Haselius will be leaving as the Crestview and Nuevas Fronteras principal for a position with Rosemount/Apple Valley/Eagan School District as the Principal for Echo Park Elementary School.

Nearly 1,400 students will graduate from the district’s three comprehensive high schools, alternative high school and Next Step program this spring.

District 833 is participating again this summer in the Minnesota Department of Education’s Summer Food Service Program.
