Thirty-five graduates from District 833’s Class of 2015 have earned Summa Cum Laude with Distinction honors by earning a cumulative GPA of 4.3 or higher.

The following seniors from South Washington County Schools’ Class of 2015 represent a small sample of the success stories from this year’s graduates. Congratulations to the Class of 2015!

The School Board met on Thursday, May 21, with the following items on the agenda:

Effective July 1, Tina Haselius will be leaving as the Crestview and Nuevas Fronteras principal for a position with Rosemount/Apple Valley/Eagan School District as the Principal for Echo Park Elementary School.

Nearly 1,400 students will graduate from the district’s three comprehensive high schools, alternative high school and Next Step program this spring.

District 833 is participating again this summer in the Minnesota Department of Education’s Summer Food Service Program.

This spring, 75 ninth and tenth grade AVID students from Park High School submitted essay entries to the Best Prep Essay contest.

South Washington County Schools is holding a job fair on Thursday, June 11, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Washington County Work-Force Center (13000 Ravine Parkway, Cottage Grove).

Forty juniors and seniors in East Ridge High School’s Project Lead the Way biomedical sciences program recently visited Gillette Children’s Hospital as part of their Medical Interventions class.

Country Music Artist Jeff Dayton spent two weeks at Pine Hill Elementary School during the month of May, where he taught fourth and fifth grade students about music and helped them compose their own songs.
