Representing South Washington County Schools were East Ridge High School’s Emily Betz, Park High School’s Annie Williams and Woodbury High School’s Ana Sortland.

Park High School students Khadra Ahmed and Elizabeth Carlson have been named 2015 Dell Scholars, receiving $20,000 scholarships over four years, a Dell laptop and printer, textbook credits, and other resources to support their success in college.

Park High School choir students have been fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in ¡Cantaré! this school year, which is a unique program designed to bring the talents of composers from Mexico directly into Minnesota classrooms.

District 833 is pleased to announce, pending Board approval, that Jim Smokrovich will be the new principal of East Ridge High School, beginning July 1.

Minnesota Commissioner of Health Dr. Ed Ehlinger met with local legislators and local school, county and public health officials at Pine Hill Elementary School on April 10 to see the progress of the school’s Statewide Health Improvement Program (SHIP) grant.

District 833 is pleased to announce that Andrew Caflisch will be the new principal of Armstrong Elementary School, beginning July 1.

The South Washington County Schools Resource Fair: Igniting the conversation around emotional health and wellness, is set for Saturday, May 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Lake Middle School.

The East Ridge High School Robotics Team the ERRORs (East Ridge Robotic Ominous Raptors) won the North Star Regional Championship on April 4 at Mariucci Arena at the University of Minnesota.

The East Ridge High School Symphonic Band and Symphony Orchestra earned Superior ratings at the Minnesota State High School League Region 4AA Large Group Contest.
