Assistant Principal hired for Crestview Elementary and Nuevas Fronteras Spanish Immersion
Annie Olson-Reiners has been hired as the Administrative Intern (acting as Assistant Principal) at Crestview Elementary and Nuevas Fronteras Spanish Immersion effective Jan. 18, 2013. She is currently a fifth grade teacher at Nuevas Fronteras.
Olson-Reiners will be primarily responsible for the continued development of the Nuevas Fronteras Spanish Immersion program. The position was difficult to fill, as candidates needed a Minnesota Teaching license, to be enrolled in a Principal licensure program, and to understand language immersion education. Olson-Reiners is currently pursuing a K-12 Principal license at Hamline University and has worked as a teacher at Nuevas Fronteras for the last four years.
“I am very excited to help develop Ms. Olson-Reiners in this position and to help Nuevas Fronteras establish a Spanish speaking leader for the future,” said Rich Romano, Principal of Crestview Elementary and Nuevas Fronteras Spanish Immersion. “Annie is well versed in immersion education and will have the challenging task of helping to lead Nuevas Fronteras on a continuing path of excellence.”
