MAP Testing

 NWEA MAP testing provides an excellent snapshot of the abilities of our students.  We use the data to target instruction, analyze needs of our school, determine staff development plans, and best meet the needs of ALL of our students.  At East Ridge we believe that ALL students can learn and grow.  By using the MAP assessment as a strategic tool, we can assess the growth and learning of our students.

 

At East Ridge High School, we use MAP testing to assess students in the area of Math and Reading.  ALL students at East Ridge will be assessed in the area of Math and ALL 9th and 10th grade students will be assessed in the area of Reading.

 

Certain students are assessed more often due to IEPs or other concerns.  MAP tests are not graded.  Classes are MAP tested in large groups, so individual students are not pulled from an academic setting to test.

 

MAP is a predictor for proficiency on the MCA II tests.  Review cut scores below:
