Two Woodbury High School assistant principals accept principal positions outside of District 833

District 833 would like to thank Woodbury High School assistant principals Rob Bach and Todd Herber for their years of service to the district, as both have accepted principal positions outside of South Washington County Schools.

Bach has accepted the role of principal at Stillwater Area High School. He served as a science teacher for 15 years at Park High School, and was also the Head Volleyball Coach there for 12 years. Bach was then an Assistant Principal at Park for five years and for two years at Woodbury High School.

“I have treasured my experience with the students, parents, and staff of District 833,” said Bach. “South Washington County has been my personal and professional home for over 20 years, and while leaving is bittersweet, I am looking forward to the challenge that the opportunity in the Stillwater Area Public School District presents. I leave secure in the knowledge that amazing things are happening for our students and thankful for the opportunity to have served in such a dynamic place.”

Herber has accepted a position as the principal of Red Wing High School. “I am proud to be associated with District 833,” said Todd. “I owe a lot to the people I work with and to those who have helped shape me as a student-centered administrator.”

Herber began his work with the district in 1994 as an itinerant teacher between Woodbury and Oltman Junior High schools, teaching seventh grade geography and as the teacher for the School With-in A School program at Oltman. From there he had a career of 20 years in the district as both a social studies teacher and administrator. In 2001 he was hired as the Assistant Principal for Oltman Junior High School and in 2007 was hired as an Assistant Principal at Woodbury High School.

“I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with so many wonderful students and families in the South Washington County School district. My experiences working in a progressive school district like ours has helped shape the kind of administrator I want to be: focused on student learning, supporting teachers, and collaborating with parents and the community,” said Herber.
